Luke and Gina got married in Malelane on the river bank of the Crocodile River. This beautiful day included sunshine, rain, hot weather, a very camera-shy couple, and an elephant that showed up for the ceremony. (Perfect for wedding photography) Everything happened with the calmness of the Kruger Park playing off in the background. Enjoy this sneak preview of Luke and Gina’s special day.
“There you go making my heart beat again
Heart beat again, heart beat again
There you go making me feel like a kid
Won’t you do it and do it one time
There you go pulling me right back in
Right back in, right back in
And I know I’m never letting this go
I’m stuck on you
Stuck like glue
You and me baby”

The Stylish Wedding of the England based Manicom’s took place at Top Billing recommended Dawson’s Game and Trout Lodge in the Baberton area. The day greeted us with a typical and one of a kind golden African sunsent. What a fantastic and beatiful day. Enjoy the wedding photos.
It was a misty day in Sabie; beautiful for wedding photography…The thunderbird parked in the woods…, just nature and us. Jamie and Bennie’s wedding took place at Bundu Lodge in Pretoria. The venue with animals walking around freely everywhere has got that farm feeling; and made everyone feel right at home. The bride, Jamie took everyone’s breath away; walking down the aisle; with a groom that stood speechless. The day ended in gorgeous shades of blue; purple and reds as we ended the wedding photography session of the couple on the mountain. What a beautiful day. Congratulations to Jamie and Bennie on their big day. Nedine Schoeman Wedding Photograher, Pretoria

What a beautiful wedding. Congratulations to George and Marista.
Soft mint green and clean white linen. Walter and Fredrika’s wedding was a burst of fresh colors, and happy vibrant people. One of the many joys of being a wedding photographer is the fact that everybody is happy at you “workplace”. The wedding venue was covered by ivy leaves, which made a fantastic background and setting for our couple photo shoot . What a joy it was to work with the very kind and beautiful Fredrika and Walter. I wish you guys all the best for the future. Enjoy the sneak preview of wedding photographs. Kind Regards. Nedine Schoeman. Pretoria Wedding Photographer
Thys and Vicky got engaged DURING the engagement photo shoot. Thys asked me to suggest that we do a pose where he kneels to ask the big question; and then he did! I was just as excited, and maybe more than the couple throughout the engagement photo shoot. The whole setting and colors complimented the “Bride to Be”. I just loved how the colours of the field picked up the beautiful red hair and blue jersey of Thys. Congratulations to Thys and Vicky. Nedine Schoeman, Pretoria Photographer felt privileged to be a part of the big day, and first witness.

1. Better organisation equals better wedding photography
Even though your wedding photographer are trained and used to working under pressure the whole time; it is still a form of art to take professional wedding photographs, and artistic wedding photographs take time. When a bride is finished early; there is time to give attention to little detail, and maybe, if the bride wants to a little boudoir shoot inbetween.
2. Be a more relaxed bride
I know this is the day that youve been waiting for your’e whole life, and the pressure of looking great is on. The odds that something is going to go wrong are 99%. Something will go wrong during your wedding day; so stop trying to be a perfect bride with a perfect wedding. The best photos I get is photos of brides who are relaxed. The wedding photography is also 10 times easier, because everyone is relaxed around you.
3. Choose a nice venue to get dressed.
I know a wedding is an expensive affair, but for your wedding photographs to look good, it does help a lot if you choose a nice setting. You don’t need to book yourself into a very expensive hotel or guest house, but choose a nice room, even if its a family members home. If you really cant afford or get anything nice, make sure the room where youre getting dressed is tidy. Your professional wedding photographer will search for places in and around the house to take photos, but just make sure those things are taken care of Tip for brides: Choose a room that is quite empty, or take all photographs or paintings off a wall to get better photos.
4. Tell your wedding photographer what you want extra.
The wedding photographer will know the different angles and poses that will look good, and he/she will tell you what to do; but if there is something extra that you want, for example a photo with all your dogs, in your wedding dress, or with the couple photo shoot, you want to show your leg a bit more, tell the photographer. You dont want to look back on your wedding day, and say I wish we did that or we could have done that. Be spontaneous and enjoy the day fully!!

Cheralyn and Ernst got married this weekend! What a fantastic and fun filled event!! Cheralyn was the most beautiful bride; which always makes it easy for the wedding photographer. The wedding pictures of the couple were taken at Umbali events venue in Pretoria. As we went to take the couple wedding photos, the beautiful sunset disappeared behind the mountains. Never the less; we got amazing photos. The burnt down brown field made the perfect contrast to the white wedding dress. I must take this opportunity to compliment the bride and groom. What an amazing couple!! They entered the reception dancing, they were amazing during the photo shoot, and overall they were the most relaxed fun couple!! Congratulations Cheralyn and Ernst. My work as a wedding photographer was made easy. I enjoyed every minute. Yours in Wedding Photography Pretoria . xx
The young and very much in love and engaged couple, Elme and Dian, asked me to do their engagement photoshoot. We stopped along the Kaapsehoop road, and did the engagement photo shoot among the lovely trees. The surroundings lead to a very relaxed and laid back photo shoot. The greatest advantage of being a wedding photographer in Pretoria, and Gauteng , is the clear and clean skies, and lush green settings. As the sun went down, the light became soft and produced beautiful warm engagement photos. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple, Elme and Drian.
Tessa and Gert had a very vintage wedding. I was crazy about her wedding dress. Tessa wore her mothers wedding dress, that her grandmother made. Absolutely gorgeous. The wedding photographs were taken at Jatinga in White River, Gauteng. Nedine Schoeman Photography also did Tessa and Gerts Engagement photo shoot, and its not difficult to see why these were one of my favourite couples. Tessa and Gert are both gorgeous people with hearts of gold, the fell in love, and six months after that, decided to get married. I felt very honored to be their wedding photographer, wedding photography is made easy when a couple is this beautiful inside and out. Nedine Schoeman Photography would also like to congratulate Tessa and Gert on their pregnancy.
At any wedding, most of the emphasis is on the bride, that’s why I want to blog about The groom today. With wedding photography, you have to cover all aspects of a wedding day. Even though the bride is the most beautiful thing there, and most of the focus is on her; the couple wants to look at their wedding photographs afterwards; and look at every moment of the wedding day. In most cases the groom doesn’t really want a camera on him. With the groom, the photographer really have to give direction to the men. I always take a man with me as well, to let the guys feel comfortable. The best advise I can give with groom and groomsmen photography, is to take casual photos, where they are not posing. While they are talking. A few has to be staged, but don’t do too many of those. Good luck with your’e planning. Kind Regards. Nedine Schoeman Photography

Anzelle and Tommie got married in February; at Umbali Events Venue. What an honor it was to be their wedding photographer. Anzelle was such a beautiful bride; a natural beauty and gorgeous face. Being the bride, it is always your privilege to be late( That’s what I tell all the brides). The bride being late, always ensures beautiful wedding photos. The groom waiting anxiously, the children that cant sit still, these are the things that makes beautiful wedding photos. When you are a wedding photographer; you will realize, there is never a dull moment; never a wedding that will be the same. As the ceremony ended the clouds was piling up, and the rain was on its way. We still had to take the couple wedding photos. Luckily we made it; before the rain could catch us. I am proud to announce that Nedine Schoeman Photography will be doing the new born photo shoot of Anzelle and Tommie’s first born, beautiful little girl. I just cant wait. I will be blogging about the photo shoot very soon. Kind Regards Nedine Schoeman Photography.
The one thing all brides, and most women for that matter have in common, is the fear of not looking good in their wedding photos . I compiled a few tips to the bride and groom to make your wedding photographs look stunning
1) Smile More
The big moment that you’ve been waiting for has arrived. Forget about all the wedding stress, and smile. This makes the work of the wedding photographer also a whole lot easier
2) Don’t Look at the camera all night (Unless your photographer asks you to)
You want to create the feeling that the camera is “invisible”, you want to look like a Movie star. This will create a very natural feel to your wedding photos
3) Show Off Your Love
Do you want to know one thing that EVERY wedding photographer likes? Wedding photographers like couples who interact with each other. What instantly makes a wedding picture more appealing are couples that look at each other, that smile at each other and that show off their feelings and love. And stay together during the reception! Spend time visiting friends and family together, eat together, and of course, dance with each other!
4) Avoid boring Formals
The formals have the potential to be the most boring wedding pictures ever. How about we make them fun and try to create uncommon pictures? The guys can stand arm-crossed and looking each one to a different side… The bridesmaids can crack up for a really natural picture. The intention is to think outside the box and get more enjoyable photos in addition to the simple “stand in a line” shot.
5) Have Fun
The first thing to put in your head is that you must have fun on your wedding day. Forget about minor problems or insignificant details. Enjoy each moment of your day. So, laugh a lot, make funny expressions and be playful. Even if the two of you need a glass or two of champagne. Don’t forget, it’s a day to really be happy and to celebrate.

Jaco and Antoinette, is two very beautiful people. Their engagement photo shoot was just as gorgeous as them. We took their couple pre wedding or couple photos in Kaapsehoop; just outside of Pretoria. We started out Bohemian Restaurant, and worked up in the Kaapsehoop village, through the horses, ducks and old houses. Everyting a young and in love couple wants. Jaco and Antoinette are very relaxed in front of the camera, so the engagement photo shoot wasnt something to get nervous about for them. I am looking forward to be their wedding photographer next year. Congratulations Jaco and Antoinette. You guys are gorgeous.

Mariska and Morne’s wedding was set in the heart of the Lowveld, Pretoria, also now known as Gauteng. On the riverbanks of the Crocodile River, Mariska and Morne promised themselves to one another. What a gorgeous setting for wedding photographs. As the ceremony ended; we went and started taking wedding couple pictures under the macadamia trees. After the macadamia trees, we went to the train rails, closeby. The couple stood and played on the train rails like two teenagers in love. What a beautiful sight. The day ended in shades of gold, orange and pink. Being a wedding photographer is the most rewarding and fun job. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Bester. It was an absolute privilege to take your wedding pictures. Enjoy.

Being a photographer in the GautengPretoria area is one of the biggest advantages and privileges for me. The setting is always picture perfect. I think any wedding and engagement photographer can agree with me; that it makes it so much easier to work with in a beautiful environment. The photos attached below is a few examples of wedding photography and engagement photography that I did in the Pretoria, Kaapsehoop, Malelane and Sabie area.

Bradley and Charity got married on the 1st of March this year. Being a wedding photographer; you get the privilege to go to a numerous amount of weddings. Bradley and Charity was most relaxed wedding couple I have ever seen. the guests felt like friends at the end of the day, and the couple like family. The wedding took place at Umbali Conference and wedding venue in Neslpruit. Unlike most of the wedding photo shoots, we didn’t get the golden hour, which every wedding photographer pray for. We got drizzles. Not rain. Drizzles. So we had to work with bad weather. Bradley and Charity stayed calm and relaxed, as could be expected of a just married couple. The wedding photographs came out beautiful. Thank you Bradley and Charity for a wonderful day. Congratulations to this amazing couple.

Mariska and Roland, soon to be Mr and Mrs Killian is getting married in December. Mariska and Roland insisted on a nature engagement photo shoot. For the first part of their photo shoot I took them to town…Where they had to kiss on the sidewalk, which caused quite a lot of the attention from people passing by…I am so glad we did that; for the couple was laughing, and enjoying the moment, putting them at total ease. After the photo shoot in town, we decided to drive out on the Lydenburg road, to take a few photos under that amazing trees, and lush green fields. I think Mr and Mrs Killian are ready for the Wedding Photo Shoot. Looking forward to be your wedding photographer in December in the lovely Lowveld, Pretoria area. Also feel free to “steal” a few ideas on photo shoot ideas and props
There is nothing like a wedding. One of the most important days in anyone’s life. Being married myself, I realize how precious your wedding photos are. You will look back at them forever. Your children and grand children will go through them over and over again. Searching for their inheritance from you, whether physical of emotional. Either way, its priceless and should be timeless. The wedding photo shoot of the couple alone is one of the most important aspects of a wedding day for me. I prefer doing a engagement or pre wedding photo shoot before the big day; so that the couple can feel relaxed working with me, and know what to expect from a wedding photo shoot. Many of us have never done a photo shoot, and is quite nervous when the day arrive. I have collected a few wedding photos of weddings that I have done. Enjoy, and please share. Yours sincerely. Nedine Schoeman Photography. Yours in wedding photography.

It’s three weeks before the big day for Cheralyn and Ernst. The decided to work in a quick engagement photo shoot. Cheralyn needed a few photos for the wedding reception. I once again realized how important an engagement photo shoot is. As the photographer, I got to know Cheralyn and Ernst a whole lot better, and they feel much more relaxed in front of the camera, which plays a big factor in great photos. We worked on a few poses which we want to use for the wedding photos, and the couple also threw in a few ideas of their own. The day ended in a beautiful golden sunset( I always love that!!). I’m looking forward to a stunning wedding at Umbali. Cant wait to see the beautiful couple walking down the aisle. The wedding photos will be available end of June on my website.
