Luke and Gina got married in Malelane on the river bank of the Crocodile River. This beautiful day included sunshine, rain, hot weather, a very camera-shy couple, and an elephant that showed up for the ceremony. (Perfect for wedding photography) Everything happened with the calmness of the Kruger Park playing off in the background. Enjoy this sneak preview of Luke and Gina’s special day.
“There you go making my heart beat again
Heart beat again, heart beat again
There you go making me feel like a kid
Won’t you do it and do it one time
There you go pulling me right back in
Right back in, right back in
And I know I’m never letting this go
I’m stuck on you
Stuck like glue
You and me baby”
Mary Anne and Morne promise their love for each other in Mary Anne’s home where she grew up in Pretoria, here in the Lowveld. Two beautiful people inside and out.
My job as Wedding Photographer is always made easier when a couple is this in love. The magic of their love could be felt and seen in the photos.
What a lovely event.
It’s that time of the year again!; and matric farewell is always a glamorous occasion at Hoërskool Pretoria. Anantha and her friend Armand’s matric farewell photo shoot was done at the Pretoria Airfield. The gorgeous Anantha looked like she walked out of a fashion magazine with her striking red dress. Enjoy the sneak preview of their beautiful photos.
“The kids grow up so fast”…they say. And indeed they do…We often dismiss family photography or a family photo shoot as a luxury; an unnecessary expense; but before we realize 5 years has passed; and our family used to be 3; no they are 4 or more; or the kids are off to college and you only have the camera photos that are too small or too low in quality to print…It is advised to do a family photo shoot once a year; If there is a special occasion; like a new member arriving in the family or Granny is turning 80 then you should capture that moment as soon as possible. The Roos family has four members; each already grown up; but these images are so special; they will be cherished for a lifetime. “When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.” ― Ansel Adams
“Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth; for your love is better than wine”

The Stylish Wedding of the England based Manicom’s took place at Top Billing recommended Dawson’s Game and Trout Lodge in the Baberton area. The cultural diversity of this wedding between British and African roots brought colour, song and and style together. What a feast for the eyes, and definitely great wedding photography material. The day greeted us with a typical and one of a kind golden African sunsent. What a fantastic and beatiful day. Enjoy the wedding photos.
It was a misty day in Sabie; beautiful for wedding photography…The thunderbird parked in the woods…, just nature and us. Vianca and Andre lives in New Zealand, a far cry from home; but they came back to their roots for the big day. The very cold day was warmed up by the fun and laughter of the guests dancing the night away. Here’s a sneak preview of the wedding photography session. Enjoy; and congratulations to Andre and Vianca
Jamie and Bennie’s wedding took place at Bundu Lodge in Pretoria. The venue with animals walking around freely everywhere has got that farm feeling; and made everyone feel right at home. The bride, Jamie took everyone’s breath away; walking down the aisle; with a groom that stood speechless. The day ended in gorgeous shades of blue; purple and reds as we ended the wedding photography session of the couple on the mountain. What a beautiful day. Congratulations to Jamie and Bennie on their big day. Nedine Schoeman Wedding Photograher, Pretoria
Yolande and Dries got married Sabie at Lone Creek River Lodge…Wedding Photography Heaven. The day was just as calm as the surroundings, crisp green trees and the sound of a river nearby. “If I had a flower for every time I thought of you…I could walk through my garden forever.” …Joleen and Jaco got married at Umbali under the stars; the decor was crisp white and the scent of spring was in the air. As we went to do the wedding couple photo shoot ; the sun set in beautiful soft colours. Joleen and Jaco was like old friends, just walking and talking, smiling and joking, just as its supposed to be. As we headed back to the venue, the light evening breeze picked up the laughter and music. What a beautiful day for wedding photography in Pretoria. Congratulations to Joleen and Jaco. Enjoy the wedding photos.
Soft mint green and clean white linen. Walter and Fredrika’s wedding was a burst of fresh colors, and happy vibrant people. One of the many joys of being a wedding photographer is the fact that everybody is happy at you “workplace”. The wedding venue was covered by ivy leaves, which made a fantastic background and setting for our couple photo shoot . What a joy it was to work with the very kind and beautiful Fredrika and Walter. I wish you guys all the best for the future. Enjoy the sneak preview of wedding photographs. Kind Regards. Nedine Schoeman. Pretoria Wedding Photographer
Class & Style. Definitely the two words I’d use to describe Henry & Monique’s wedding day. The nervous and excited bride & groom got dressed in Schoemanskloof, where old fashioned values and very vintage decor and style greeted us on the picturesque farms. Wedding Photography in a setting like this is every wedding photographer‘s dream. The couple got married at Martique Wedding Venue in Schoemanskloof. Monique & Henry’s love and passion had everyone on their feet, dancing, and laughing the night away. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple, and enjoy the photos.

Henri and Elandie’s Engagement Photo Shoot took place in the very chilly Kaapsehoop. Knowing Henri from school days; I haven’t seen him smiling this much, ever! The gorgeous couple is getting married in October; and when your’e near them you can feel the magic. The down to earth couple wanted a natural setting for their engagement photo shoot, The day greeted us in beautiful gold, and orange light rays. Congratulations to both of you. Love. Nedine
The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing. With this weekends family photo shoot I could see why this is true. Hugs and kisses, laughing and fun all around. We did our Photo Shoot in the beautiful Kaapsehoop; and had the luck to see some wild horses. The perfect distraction during a family photo shoot with little ones. The cute Hazel had me giggling behind the camera with her pink glasses. The cutest little girl. Enjoy the photos.

Nadine’s matric farewell was a the fairytale that every little girl dreams about. This matric farewell photo shoot was definitely one of my favourites. The whole morning was relaxed and laid back with ice tea and rose petals. Nadine’s natural beauty, (and she is gorgeous!!) , made it easy for me to get the most elegant and beautiful photos. The lovely “poppy pink” as she described it to me; was the perfect contrast to her dark hair and complexion. What a fun and beautiful matric farewell photo shoot. Enjoy the photos.
Nedine Schoeman Photography joined the festivities this year at the biggest Afrikaans music festival; Innibos. I had the privilege of taking pictures of some of the legendary Afrikaans artists, like Kurt Darren, Jay, and much more. Event Photography is just so much more fun at Innibos. With all the familiar faces, vibrant colours and everyone in a good mood, what more can you ask for. Old and young was sining, talking, having a drink. Again; its good to be a Pretoria photographer.
Thys and Vicky got engaged DURING the engagement photo shoot. Thys asked me to suggest that we do a pose where he kneels to ask the big question; and then he did! I was just as excited, and maybe more than the couple throughout the engagement photo shoot. The whole setting and colors complimented the “Bride to Be”. I just loved how the colours of the field picked up the beautiful red hair and blue jersey of Thys. Congratulations to Thys and Vicky. Nedine Schoeman, Pretoria Photographer felt privileged to be a part of the big day, and first witness.

1. Better organisation equals better wedding photography
Even though your wedding photographer are trained and used to working under pressure the whole time; it is still a form of art to take professional wedding photographs, and artistic wedding photographs take time. When a bride is finished early; there is time to give attention to little detail, and maybe, if the bride wants to a little boudoir shoot inbetween.
2. Be a more relaxed bride
I know this is the day that youve been waiting for your’e whole life, and the pressure of looking great is on. The odds that something is going to go wrong are 99%. Something will go wrong during your wedding day; so stop trying to be a perfect bride with a perfect wedding. The best photos I get is photos of brides who are relaxed. The wedding photography is also 10 times easier, because everyone is relaxed around you.
3. Choose a nice venue to get dressed.
I know a wedding is an expensive affair, but for your wedding photographs to look good, it does help a lot if you choose a nice setting. You don’t need to book yourself into a very expensive hotel or guest house, but choose a nice room, even if its a family members home. If you really cant afford or get anything nice, make sure the room where youre getting dressed is tidy. Your professional wedding photographer will search for places in and around the house to take photos, but just make sure those things are taken care of Tip for brides: Choose a room that is quite empty, or take all photographs or paintings off a wall to get better photos.
4. Tell your wedding photographer what you want extra.
The wedding photographer will know the different angles and poses that will look good, and he/she will tell you what to do; but if there is something extra that you want, for example a photo with all your dogs, in your wedding dress, or with the couple photo shoot, you want to show your leg a bit more, tell the photographer. You dont want to look back on your wedding day, and say I wish we did that or we could have done that. Be spontaneous and enjoy the day fully!!

Cheralyn and Ernst got married this weekend! What a fantastic and fun filled event!! Cheralyn was the most beautiful bride; which always makes it easy for the wedding photographer. The wedding pictures of the couple were taken at Umbali events venue in Pretoria. As we went to take the couple wedding photos, the beautiful sunset disappeared behind the mountains. Never the less; we got amazing photos. The burnt down brown field made the perfect contrast to the white wedding dress. I must take this opportunity to compliment the bride and groom. What an amazing couple!! They entered the reception dancing, they were amazing during the photo shoot, and overall they were the most relaxed fun couple!! Congratulations Cheralyn and Ernst. My work as a wedding photographer was made easy. I enjoyed every minute. Yours in Wedding Photography Pretoria . xx
The young and very much in love and engaged couple, Elme and Dian, asked me to do their engagement photoshoot. We stopped along the Kaapsehoop road, and did the engagement photo shoot among the lovely trees. The surroundings lead to a very relaxed and laid back photo shoot. The greatest advantage of being a wedding photographer in Pretoria, and Gauteng , is the clear and clean skies, and lush green settings. As the sun went down, the light became soft and produced beautiful warm engagement photos. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple, Elme and Drian.
This weekend was fun filled and very busy!! One of the three photo shoots I did was a family photo shoot for one of my friends, Nelmarie. We decided to go to Pretoria airport to do the airport themed family photo shoot. I had the most amazing time!! Unlike wedding photography or engagement photography, you cant tell the client what to do. The “client” (Nelmarie’s two and a half year old son) determined my every move!!! I literally ran after him to take these pics!! And I loved every minute of it. Inbetween the photo shoot I also got a few hugs, and a kiss on the mouth!! Loving family photography… Lucky for me, I am a Pretoria photographer, and the weather was fantastic. No one would guess that this photo shoot took place in the middle of winter. Enjoy these gorgeous pictures. What an amazing family!! Kind Regards Nedine Schoeman Pretoria Photographer

Nedine Schoeman Photography is proud to pronounce the newest field to my photography. Model Photography. The photo shoot took place out on the beautiful Sabie road. Kristen is definitely one of the most talented and natural models I have seen. She is relaxed and spontaneous in front of the camera, which will make it easy for any photographer to work with her. We played around with light and different environments during the photo shoot, and the end product was amazing. Nedine Schoeman Photography wants to thank Kristen and of course my gorgeous husband, Louis, that helped me with the photo shoot. Enjoy the photos. Kind Regards. Nedine Schoeman.

Tessa and Gert had a very vintage wedding. I was crazy about her wedding dress. Tessa wore her mothers wedding dress, that her grandmother made. Absolutely gorgeous. The wedding photographs were taken at Jatinga in White River, Gauteng. Nedine Schoeman Photography also did Tessa and Gerts Engagement photo shoot, and its not difficult to see why these were one of my favourite couples. Tessa and Gert are both gorgeous people with hearts of gold, the fell in love, and six months after that, decided to get married. I felt very honored to be their wedding photographer, wedding photography is made easy when a couple is this beautiful inside and out. Nedine Schoeman Photography would also like to congratulate Tessa and Gert on their pregnancy.
At any wedding, most of the emphasis is on the bride, that’s why I want to blog about The groom today. With wedding photography, you have to cover all aspects of a wedding day. Even though the bride is the most beautiful thing there, and most of the focus is on her; the couple wants to look at their wedding photographs afterwards; and look at every moment of the wedding day. In most cases the groom doesn’t really want a camera on him. With the groom, the photographer really have to give direction to the men. I always take a man with me as well, to let the guys feel comfortable. The best advise I can give with groom and groomsmen photography, is to take casual photos, where they are not posing. While they are talking. A few has to be staged, but don’t do too many of those. Good luck with your’e planning. Kind Regards. Nedine Schoeman Photography

I was fortunate to visit India this year in April with my husband, Louis Schoeman. As a photographer this was an incredible experience. Nedine Schoeman Photography is focused mainly on wedding and engagement photography, so a change of scenery was refreshing. The main thing that I’ve learnt on this trip, is the fact that beauty is everywhere. Look for it. Look deeper than what meets the eye. Through experience I’ve learnt that people doesn’t necessarily love the best quality photographs, but they value what is in the photo. I took a few photos of children playing in the streets, looking happier than most people I know. And people overall respond to that photos even better than a perfectly set up photo shoot, and a paper thin model. Going into the slums of India opened my eyes to all the luxuries we have that we take for granted. And how ugly we become in the most beautiful places. I realized how much I love being a photographer, I want to thank my husband for making this trip possible, I love you. Find beauty. It is all around you. Kind Regards. Nedine Schoeman Photography
